We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did! Stay tuned for plans for 2017.
Oh what a night!
The 2016 Barrett Drive Mile has come to an end, and what a night of racing it was! Congratulations to Philo Saunders who took out the Men's Open with an outstanding time of 4:14.8 and to Roxy Shahtahmasebi who was the first female across the line in a time of 5:16.7. Not only did these two take home $2,000 in prize money each but they also hold the official race records for the Barrett Drive Mile.
There was plenty of action across all categories, including an exciting sprint finish in the U18 Male with Reon Stewart just getting ahead of Joe Rainnie by two seconds with a time of 5:10.8.
The Corporate Mile was a crowd favourite with some well-dressed teams, including medical staff rotating team members being pushed on a stretcher and the NTES team rigged out with mascot Paddy the Platypus.
