Summer 5k Sunday Series - FREE FOR MEMBERS! (Please Register)

We are pleased to say this year it's all trail!! From our mid-year survey, we learned the majority of you are mixed surface/trail runners. We also thought for some of our newer runners and walkers; this would be a great way to become familiar with some of the 5k loops near the Telegraph Station during a fun community event. Also, for our seasoned runners and walkers, you can get out with the community and have some fun or set some PBs. Either way, we have you covered.

Sunday 1 - 26th  Nov 6:30 am - Spencer Loop
Sunday 2 - 3rd  Dec 6:30 am - Bradshaw
Sunday 3 - 10th Dec  6:30 am - Arrwe

All the details are here: https://www.asrwc.com.au/events/209724/. We do have some gear recommendations, water, strava map if you're unfamiliar with the trails and a snake bandage.

We also have plenty of vollie roles, you can still race for many of them and others if you want to sit this one out but want to be a part of the action,

Also, the Grand Prix Results are in, Sarah will be race directing the last race and we thought it fitting she gets to hand the prizes out as she has done such an amazing job looking after this.

November River Run 2024 - Our last river run for the year

The amazing Kate Lloyd race directed the River Run on Saturday, and what a fantastic job she did. We had over 60 participants run, walk or stroll on what was a stunning Alice Springs morning. One lucky member won one of our iconic hats in the member's draw (we still have a few left for pre-order, so get in quick!!). As Kate mentioned before the run/walk, we have had some timing challenges, and this one wasn't timed, unfortunately, but I'm sure we all had our watches on the go and know exactly how well we did either way :)

Our vollie crew deserve a big thanks for helping us out and putting on another excellent River Run.

-Tinaikulabu, Eta and Verekawa, Nate helped Kate set up
-Annie Knight, all-rounder vollie legend who did it all
-Morrison, Sarah, main rego desk legend
-Bedward, Max & Deigan, Madelyn, the best marshalls in town. And a big thank you to Max for providing assistance to a member of the public who wasn't in a good way and needed some assistance.
-Cowan, Kylie & Gaff, Trish helped us get all packed up again

Kate Lloyd has taken the River Run under her wing for 2024; we can't wait to see where she takes it!

October Member(s) of the Month - Alex and Morgs!

The photo says it all: Fun, Fitness & Friendship! Well done, you two, on getting each other through the Heysen 50 and becoming fast friends who probably have many trail tales to tell now. This really represents what it is we love about smaller trail events, the support that's given to each other from participants that really adds to the experience more than anything.

Morgs and Alex, our joint October Members of the Month

Who's our Member of the Month for November?

❤️ MEMBER OF THE MONTH! This is a thing we’re looking to celebrate: members making a difference in the running and walking community. Tell us if you know someone who has accomplished something amazing (big or small)!! Did you run your first 5k? Did you walk 5km? Did you do an ultra? Or did someone just do something that you thought was commendable? Tell us! Don't be afraid to toot your own horn too.

Send us an email/message if you’ve got any thoughts about who could be this month’s MOTM.
