2025 Recap and waffle πŸ˜Š

And what a year it was, we saw growth in our major events, continuity of our membership numbers (208 members!!) , and continued engagement with our running community

We reinvigorated the Alice Springs Running Festival

We put on the Training on Trails Series with 13 Sunday runs in the lead up to West Macs Monster

We built further on the success of events like Flynn’s Grave Dash, the Four Corners Trail Series and The Red Centre Wringer.

We supported other community groups and assisted with their events like Y to the Sky, NAIDOC Week Fun Run and Three Tribes

We listened to the community and worked with other running groups to raise funds for safety devices for women who feel unsafe, and helped organise a fun run to support this.

We dipped our toes into more social runs.

We had several committee members and members trained by Athletics Australia to become recreational running coaches.

We had a dedicated committee, which brought various experiences to the club. Our running, walking, and fitness are diverse, too, and represents people from different demographics in our running and walking community.

This has meant that when considering our events and overall objectives, we have well-rounded and diverse viewpoints to bring to the table.

This support of the club has meant we achieved so much for the Alice Springs Running and Walking Club and Alice Springs’s community in 2025.

Thank you to the 2025 ASRWC Committee!! And thank you, 2025 Members!!
